Paroecanthus caucasicus

Taxonomy
Paroecanthus caucasicus was named by Sharov (1968). Its type specimen is PIN 254/2577, a forewing (male forewing without small parts of apex & base), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Vishnevaya Balka creek, Karagan, Stavropol (PIN collection 254), which is in a Miocene lacustrine shale in the Karagan Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Paroecanthus.
