Taxonomy
Locustopsis anatolica was named by Sharov (1968). Its type specimen is PIN 371/1910, a forewing (whole forewing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Ak-Bulak-Say, Sogjuta, Issyk-Kul (PIN Collection 371), which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian lacustrine - small siliciclastic in the Dzhil Formation of Kyrgyzstan.
