Taxonomy
Medlicottia kingorum was named by Miller and Furnish (1940). Its type specimen is YPM 15952 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Near junction of Road and Gilliland canyons, Glass Mountains, which is in a Roadian carbonate limestone in the Word Formation of Texas.
