Nielsenoceras skinneri
Taxonomy
Xenaspis skinneri was named by Miller and Furnish (1940). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 7643, Cherry Canyon, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Wordian slope limestone in the Bell Canyon Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Nielsenoceras.
It was recombined as Nielsenoceras skinneri by Spinosa et al. (1975) and Leonova (2002).
