Taxonomy
Eothinites hessensis was named by Miller and Furnish (1940). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is R.E. King 223, Old Word Ranch, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Hess Formation of Texas.
