It was reranked as the suborder Titanoptera by Béthoux (2007) and Eades et al. (2012).

It was assigned to Orthopteroidea by Sharov (1968); to Archaeorthoptera by Béthoux (2007); and to Orthoptera by Eades et al. (2012).
