Taxonomy

Plesioidischia was named by Schlechtendal (1906). Its type is Plesioidischia baentschi.

It was assigned to Protoblattoidea by Bolton (1921); and to Oedischiidae by Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1919), Handlirsch (1922), Guthörl (1934), Sharov (1968), Carpenter (1992) and Gorochov (1995).
