It was assigned to Necrophasmatodea by Martynov (1925); to Chresmododea by Martynov (1928); to Xiphopteridea by Sharov (1968); and to Parmapterina by Aristov (2018).

Juraperlidae was named by Huang and Nel (2007). It is not extant. Its type is Juraperla.

It was synonymized subjectively with Necrophasmidae by Aristov (2018).

It was assigned to Grylloblattodea by Huang and Nel (2007); to Grylloblattida by Cui et al. (2010); and to Parmapterina by Aristov (2016).
