Sinodiscus was named by Chang (1974) [In Lu et al. (1974). Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-u Sepkoski's reference number: 463,464]. It is not extant. Its type is Sinodiscus shipaiensis.
It was assigned to Calodiscidae by Whittington et al. (1997); and to Agnostida by Sepkoski (2002).
