Fistulamina absoluta was named by Morozova (1986). Its type specimen is PIN 2830/736 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kotel'nyy Island, east coast, New Siberian Islands, which is in a Roadian/Wordian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
