Taxonomy
Hinganella improvisa was named by Morozova (1986). Its type specimen is PIN 3947/459 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Savina-Butakova Interfluve, Collection 15094, Novaya Zemlya, which is in a Roadian marine siliciclastic in the Savinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
