Pseudosimulium humidum
Taxonomy
Simulium humidum was named by Brodie (1845). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 3952, an exoskeleton (complete female fly), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dinton, Vale of Wardour, Middle Purbeck, which is in a Berriasian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal horizon in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Pseudosimulium humidum by Handlirsch (1906) and Mostovski et al. (2003).
