Trisulcagnostus was named by Ergaliev (1980) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Trep-l]. It is not extant. Its type is Trisulcagnostus trisulcus.

It was assigned to Agnostida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pseudagnostinae by Ergaliev and Ergaliev (2008).
