It was reranked as the subfamily Bembidiinae by Hayashi et al. (2004).

It was assigned to Harpalidae by LeConte (1861); to Carabidae by Hayashi et al. (2004); and to Trechinae by Bouchard et al. (2011) and Ortuño and Arillo (2015).
