Redlichia was named by Cossmann (1902) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Boto-u Cm Tojo-u Sepkoski's reference number: 461,464]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Redlichiinae by Whittington et al. (1997); and to Redlichiida by Sepkoski (2002).
