Taxonomy
Prothyris (Prothyris) cilindricus was named by Muromtseva and Guskov (1984). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Intinskoe coalfield, well IK-118, 87 m, Pechora Basin, which is in a Kungurian marine siliciclastic in the Lekvorkuta Formation of the Russian Federation.
