Taxonomy
Agrion (Lestes) leucosia was named by Heer (1849). It is an impression. Its type locality is Oeningen (Lavater'schen collection), which is in a Sarmatian crater lake limestone in the Upper Freshwater-Molasse Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Agrion leucosia by Heer (1864); it was recombined as Lestes leucosia by Hagen (1850), Kirby (1890) and Nel and Paicheler (1994).
