Synaptichnium cameronensis

Taxonomy
Chirotherium cameronensis was named by Peabody (1948). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UCMP 37316, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is UCMP V4204, Cameron, which is in an Aegean/Bithynian terrestrial mudstone in the Moenkopi Formation of Arizona.

It was recombined as Synaptichnium cameronensis by Klein and Lucas (2010) and Gand et al. (2012); it was recombined as Synaptichnium cameronense by Haubold (1971), Demathieu and Haubold (1972), Haubold (1974), Gand et al. (2007), Klein et al. (2011) and Klein and Lucas (2021).
