Taxonomy
Curiosivespa curiosa was named by Rasnitsyn (1975). Its type specimen is PIN 2383/143, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kzyl-Zhar Locality (PIN collection 2383), which is in a Turonian pond mudstone in Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Curiosivespa.
