Taxonomy
Tragos radiatum was named by Goldfuss (1829). It is not extant. It is the type species of Pyrgochonia (Actinostrombus).

It was recombined as Hyalotragos radiatum by Trammer (1989); it was recombined as Pyrgochonia radiata by Pisera (1997); it was recombined as Pyrgochonia (Actinostrombus) radiata by Finks et al. (2004).
