Taxonomy
Cretocleistogaster undurgensis was named by Rasnitsyn (1975). Its type specimen is PIN 2587/19, an exoskeleton (female), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Undurga river (PIN collection 2587), which is in an Aptian terrestrial mudstone in the Turga Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Manlaya undurgensis by Rasnitsyn (1986).
