Mammia alutacea

Taxonomy
Mammia alutacea was named by Handlirsch (1906). Its type specimen is USNM 38829, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Mazon Creek, USNM Lacoe Collection, which is in a Westphalian D interdistributary bay mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois. It is the type species of Mammia.
