Taxonomy
Eurythmopteryx antiqua was named by Handlirsch (1906). Its type specimen is USNM 38707, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Pratt mines, Birmingham, which is in a Westphalian A deltaic siliciclastic in the Pottsville Formation of Alabama.
