Protorthophlebia latipennis

Taxonomy
Protorthophlebia latipennis was named by Tillyard (1933). Its type specimen is BMNH I 10482, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Binton, Warwickshire (Brodie coll), which is in a Hettangian marine shale/limestone in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Protorthophlebia, Protorthophlebia (Protorthophlebia).

It was recombined as Protorthophlebia (Protorthophlebia) latipennis by Hong and Zhang (2007).
