Holcoptera giebeli

Taxonomy
Holcoelytrum giebeli was named by Handlirsch (1906). Its type specimen is BMNH I 3581, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Apperley, which is in a Rhaetian terrestrial horizon in the Lilstock Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Holcoptera giebeli by Cockerell (1915), Whalley (1985), Huber et al. (2003) and Kelly et al. (2017).
