Euomphalus fallax was named by de Koninck (1844). It is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Straparollus fallax by d'Orbigny (1850) and de Koninck (1881); it was recombined as Platyschisma fallax by Lamplugh et al. (1905); it was recombined as Straparella fallax by Fischer (1885) and Batten (1966).
