Straparollus (Euomphalus) asanoi was named by Kase (1988) [Straparollus (Euomphalus) asanoi]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Onimarua Quarry, Ofunato City, which is in a Visean carbonate sandstone in the Hikoroichi Formation of Japan.
