Taxonomy
Straparollus placidus was named by de Koninck (1881). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Straparollus (Straparollus) placidus by Gromczakiewicz (1967) and Gromczakiewicz-Łomnicka (1973); it was recombined as Straparella placidus by Wagner (2023).
