D. G. Lazo and S. E. Damborenea 2011Medium size for family, trigonally subovate to trapezoidal in outline. Escutcheon and lunule present. Umbonal ridge developed. Anterior hinge area short. Adult hinge structure characterized by early phase isocyprinoid hinge (sensu Gardner, 2005) with posterior tip of cardinal tooth 1 adjacent to but not beyond anterior tip of cardinal 3a.
Teeth 1 and 3a placed almost aligned dorsoventrally.
