Longisquama insignis
Taxonomy
Longisquama insignis was named by Sharov (1970). Its type specimen is PIN 2584/4, a partial skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Madygen, site 14, which is in a Ladinian/Carnian lacustrine shale in the Madygen Formation of Kyrgyzstan. It is the type species of Longisquama.
