M. Zaton and W. Krawczynski 2011 | Small, planispiral calcitic tube, dextrally coiled
(clockwise), tube diameter increasing evenly, leaving the umbilicus opened. Tube cemented to the substrate with its entire length, producing lateral basal projections. Tube exterior ornamented by longitudinal, somewhat wavy and thin striae, and transverse, robust ribs widening distally. It differs from the rest of Paleozoic genera by having an elaborated ornamentation with distally enlarging ribs. From the Jurassic Punctaconchus it differs in lacking punctae. |
