Taxonomy
Metalegoceras crenatum was named by Nassichuk et al. (1965). Its type specimen is GSC 18786 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 53860, Section 116P-10, Richardson Mountains , which is in a Sakmarian marine siltstone in Canada.
