Taxonomy
Medlicottia malmqvisti was named by Frebold (1932). It is a mold. Its type locality is Brinkley Bjerg, Clavering Ø, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Wegener Halvo Formation of Greenland.
It was recombined as Neogeoceras malmqvisti by Leonova (2002).
