Euchondria ohioensis
Taxonomy
Acanthopecten ohioensis was named by Mark (1912). Its type specimen is OSU 14035 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Along the abandoned right of way of the Wabash railroad, near Portersville, which is in a Missourian marine limestone in the Conemaugh Formation of Ohio.
It was recombined as Euchondria ohioensis by Newell (1938) and Amler and Winkler Prins (1999).
