Radiaspis was named by Richter and Richter (1917) [Sepkoski's age data: S Wenl-l D Fras Sepkoski's reference number: 2,421,1245].

It was assigned to Odontopleurinae by Adrain and Ramskold (1997); to Odontopleurida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Odontopleuridae by Jell and Adrain (2003).
