Taxonomy
Euestheria azambujai was named by Pinto (1956). It is not extant. Its type specimen is URGS 238, a valve. Its type locality is Passo das Tropas, which is in a Ladinian fluvial sandstone/conglomerate in the Santa Maria Formation of Brazil.
