Rhynchonella delicatula was named by Bittner (1890). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Csicsó, Zala region, which is in a Pelsonian carbonate limestone in Slovakia.
It was recombined as Holcorhynchella delicatula by Dagys (1974) and Pálfy (1988).
