Taxonomy
Spiriferina manca was named by Bittner (1890). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Köveskálla (Geologischen Reichsanstalt coll), which is in a Pelsonian carbonate limestone in Hungary.

It was recombined as Costispiriferina manca by Palfy (2003).
