Taxonomy
Thecocyrtella horogensis was named by Palfy (2003). Its type specimen is Hungarian NHM M.92.492, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Köveskál (Horog-hegy), Lower Recoaro, which is in a Pelsonian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Felsõörs Formation of Hungary.
