Taxonomy
Discotomaria xingwenensis was named by Pan (1985). Its type specimen is SPG-0012 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yingbinshi, Shilin, Xingwen County, which is in a Roadian/Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Maokou Formation of China.
