Taxonomy
Chonetinella sinuata was named by Afanasjeva (1991). Its type specimen is PIN 3385/519 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Khuryin-Chibe-Khuduk Well, Bed 4, Northern Tsagan-Ula Mountains, which is in an Artinskian marine sandstone in the Tsagan-Ula Formation of Mongolia.
