Taxonomy
Capillomesolobus karavankensis was named by Pečar (1986). Its type specimen is TMJ 1274 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Spodnja Počivala, Karavanke Mountains, which is in a Gzhelian marine shale in Slovenia. It is the type species of Capillomesolobus.
