Comelicania merlai
Taxonomy
Comelicania merlai was named by Posenato (1998). Its type specimen is MDSGF PK52, a valve (ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sass di Putia, Bed PK53, which is in a Changhsingian open shallow subtidal wackestone in the Bellerophon Formation of Italy.
