Nanshanaspis was named by Zhang and Fan (1960). It is not extant. Its type is Nanshanaspis levis.

It was assigned to Raphiophoridae by Jell and Adrain (2002).

  • Caganaspis was named by Kolobova (1968) [Sepkoski's age data: O m Sepkoski's reference number: ZR87]. It is not extant.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Nanshanaspis by Zhou and Zhou (2008).

    It was assigned to Asaphida by Sepkoski (2002).
  • Kongqiaoheia was named by Zhang (1988).

    It was synonymized subjectively with Nanshanaspis by Zhou et al. (2014).
