Taxonomy
Rhabdactinia squamata was named by Rigby et al. (1989). Its type specimen is IG 5284 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kefeng, Xiangbo, which is in a Wordian reef, buildup or bioherm packstone/grainstone in the Maokou Formation of China.
