Diceratopyge was named by Troedsson (1937) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Trep-u O Trem-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1075]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Asaphida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ceratopygidae by Jell and Adrain (2003).
