Dikelocephalites was named by Sun (1935) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Fran-u Sepkoski's reference number: 464]. It is not extant. Its type is Dikelocephalites flabelliformis.
It was assigned to Pterocephaliidae by Zhang et al. (1995); and to Asaphida by Sepkoski (2002).
