Taxonomy
Neokoninckophyllum dunbari was named by Ross and Ross (1962). Its type specimen is YPM 21752 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is YPM 12-4, Leonard Mountain, Glass Mountains, which is in a Moscovian marine limestone in the Gaptank Formation of Texas.
