Taxonomy
Edriosteges ogbinensis was named by Sarycheva (1965). Its type specimen is PIN 2071/26 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ogbin, Oldhamina Beds, Dzhagra River, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine limestone in the Julfa Formation of Armenia.
