Taxonomy
Staffella suborientalis was named by Rosovskaya (1965). Its type specimen is PIN 2227/7 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vedi River, 1.5 km below River Aksu, Gnishik Horizon, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Gnishik Formation of Armenia.
